What You Need to Know to Start Earning a Full-time Income With Shopify

Shopify is one of the world’s biggest e-commerce platforms.

Today, it hosts more than 600 thousand different merchants in 175 countries. And since its launch in 2004, it’s processed a whopping $63 billion in sales

And while it’s undoubtedly an industry titan, making a full-time living with a Shopify store can take quite a bit of work. But that doesn’t mean it’s impossible!

Below are just a few tips for making a full-time income with Shopify even easier.

Learn About Branding

Whether you’re in a market flush with direct competitors or have a niche audience all to yourself, branding is a critical component to resonating with your ideal customer and standing out from the rest of the crowd. Develop a personality for your store and your products. Color, design, and website layout are all important aspects here. But don’t neglect copywriting either. The written word is the voice of your brand, so it may pay to take advantage of marketing templates from reputable Shopify store launch programs.

Pick an Eye-Catching Design

This one might seem obvious, but the importance of it can't be overstated. Make sure your online store design is both functional and beautiful. An astounding 94% of negative website feedback involves design. And since 40% of customers who leave your page unhappy simply won’t return, first impressions like site design make a huge difference.

Tap the Right Market

In order to get closer to a complete full-time income on Shopify, you need to research your desired marked and find a gap that isn’t being filled by other products out there. This can take a whole lot of work of course and having the right kind of guidance can make all the difference here.

The more detailed your research before launch is, the better off you’ll fare once your store is up and running.

Don’t Quit Your Day Job… Yet

Jumping headfirst into starting your own online store may be tempting. But doing so could put you in dire financial straits should your store fail. That’s why it’s often best to start up your Shopify store slowly on the side if you currently have a full-time job.

With the right kind of strategy and a bit of hard work (only a few extra hours a week with the proper guidance), you can build up a strong enough customer base to let you make the leap into managing your online store full-time without having to worry about going under.

Supercharge Your Marketing

A robust marketing strategy is key to success when it comes to an online store. And that means taking advantage of every marketing channel you can, from online videos and tutorials to email marketing and content marketing.

One area in particular to focus on would be social media. Creating accounts on platforms like Facebook and Twitter is completely free. And when you learn how to use influencer marketing, it doesn’t require any added investment. This can be a great way to cut down on costs and get closer to earning a full-time income from your online store alone.

It Is Possible –
With the Right Kind of Strategy

True, starting up and maintaining your own Shopify online store can be tough. Having the right technical understanding, grasping the proper marketing principles, and making use of the various e-commerce tools and strategies are all key to building a sustainable full-time income.

And when it comes to actually securing your financial independence with Shopify, you either have to get incredibly lucky or have the right kind of guidance from a knowledgeable mentor.

Making Money with Twitter

Twitter is used by many affiliates to promote their own website or that of advertisers. Earning money via Twitter cannot be realized instantly. Just like building a good website, it takes time and effort to gain followers.

The first step is to choose at least a good topic. You can offer some kind of 'service' to your followers, for example 'the best bargains' or 'last minute offers'. You just have to ask yourself how many people want to be kept informed in this way via Twitter.

Another way is to choose a general topic that many people are interested in and that you as an affiliate have an affinity with. For example, start a Twitter account about making money online. People interested in this subject will then start following you, Retweet your content and potentially 'tag' you in their own outbound tweets thus creating even more followers

Rule No 1: Make your Twitter profile and your tweets attractive!

Before you even get started looking for a suitable way to make money with Twitter, I'd recommend 'pimping' your profile first. Often, earning money with Twitter and the attractiveness of your profile and tweets are inextricably linked. The explanation of this is simple: are your tweets funny or interesting, do you have more followers (and more chance of income).

But how do you make your Twitter profile attractive? Below are some tips:

  • Use your real name!
  • Use a real photo.
  • Either put one word in your biography, or make sure to mention some of your intentions and characteristics that are clearly visble & understandable. What do you want people to know about you? What do you think would be interesting for potential followers to know about you? Also find out what your perfect target group is (eg. Fellow Entrepeneurs)!
  • Add a URL (link), if necessary to a page where you can find a more extensive profile of yourself, such as your Blog.
  • Make a background your own. In other words, develop a brand to let people associate a certain pattern, image or colour with you to make your profile stand out.
  • Post or schedule a number of tweets regularly (every day).
  • Address your followers (personally) and maintain contact with your followers (engagement). Also use the word 'you' more often than 'me'. This will make your followers feel more personally addressed. Your profile will therefore look more inviting.
  • Do it slightly differently (read: better) than others in your position.

Tweet with Direct Affiliate Links

Tweet to your audience with direct affiliate links. You earn money if someone buys a product or uses a service through the link in your tweet. For example, you tweet about a holiday offer, someone comes to a website via your tweet and link and books the holiday. You will then receive a percentage of this. Or, for example, someone buys a Clickbank product through a tweet and you have signed up through their partner program.

Sponsored Tweets

It may come as a complete surprise, but you can actually directly approcah and ask companies for money for one of your tweets. All you have to do is go to the SponsoredTweets site and find sponsors there who will pay you to tweet about their products. The best thing: you have a say in the amount you earn per tweet.

This operates on a  'per click' basis, so every time someone clicks on the ad you tweet you are paid! You can choose these ads from a list of available ads, which is updated regularly. Note: You must have at least 50 followers, 100 tweets and an account that is at least 60 days old to sign up for this service!

Incidentally, make sure you are careful when posting your other tweets. If you show a lot of anti-social language or extreme political views in your tweets, sponsors will not hesitate to penalise you.

Hold a Twitter Contest

Everyone loves a competition! Something you can make everyone happy with is a prize. This gives people confirmation of their positive self-image. As a Twitter account owner or influencer you can use this. For example, try to make a deal with a local company that would like some publicity. Suggest that you run a contest on Twitter and that you get paid a percentage of their sales. At very least a simple 'RT/Follow' Competition will gain you more followers which equals...more potential sales further down the line!

How much can you earn with Twitter?

What you can earn with Twitter depends entirely on the number of followers you have, but also how relevant your tweets are. It is also important that good advertisers are active in your chosen niche.

Twitter is a less direct medium than, for example, Facebook. In addition, Twitter is very accessible, which means that the attention of a tweet is generally lower than, for example, a message on Facebook. So you also need more followers to achieve the same result.

What all successful Twitter affiliates have in common is that they know how to hit the right chord with their audience and that they work hard for it. What you often see is that they use Twitter as an extra promotional tool .

For example, they maintain a blog that they use to make money with affiliate marketing. They tweet when they have written a new piece and about other topics related to their blog. From time to time they also tweet with an affiliate link from an advertiser.

Final Tips for using Twitter successfully

- Follow other relevant accounts, they will often follow you back.
- Ask another popular Twitter account to promote your account (whether or not for a fee).
- Retweet messages from others regularly. as it will lead to regular retweets of your messages.
- Use Twitter tools such as Tweetdeck to run multiple accounts and manage tweets.
- Many people Twitter with their mobile phone, so check that the advertiser you want to promote supports mobile traffic.

How to Use Digital Ads to Grow Your Sales and Revenues

Let’s be honest. When we all started playing around with social media the general consensus was that it was going to drive a bunch of free traffic to our websites. Sure enough, social media can drive traffic to our websites, but it’s getting harder and harder all the time. For one thing, there’s more competition for people’s attention. On top of that, platforms like Facebook only serve your posts to about 6% of the people following your Facebook page.

What steps can you take to use social media to drive more prospects to your website?

The answer, of course, is to hunker down and to start using paid media in order to attract more visitors. That’s right – you should run paid ads in order to generate awareness and drive engagement for your business.

Before you decide that paid media isn’t within your budget, here’s an insider secret – it’s not all that expensive.

That’s right, paying for additional traffic to your website can be quite cost-effective. In fact, if you play your cards right and know how to measure the value of a prospect or customer, then driving more traffic to your site should pay for itself.

So, what tools should you use for a paid ad campaign? The primary tools are Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter. And even though running a campaign might seem a little complex at first, once you get the hang of it, you’ll see that it’s not all that difficult....

5 Essentials You REALLY Need to Nail Down Before Opening Your Online Store

If there’s one industry that’s growing faster than ever before, it’s e-commerce.

In fact, by 2021 experts predict that this industry alone will be worth more than $4.5 trillion (that’s not a typo!).

Large-scale corporations have sophisticated websites, small brick-and-mortar businesses are continuing to build up a web presence, and even everyday people like you are opening up their own online stores every single day.

But just because this business is booming doesn’t mean it’s a cinch to tap into this market on your own.

And in fact, there are a number of fundamentals you need to understand before opening up your online store. Otherwise, you may end up being one of the 90% of online shop owners that fail within the first four months!

1. Master the Multichannel Approach

Email, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, search engine rankings, referrals – these are all critical marketing channels that you need to learn how to take advantage of if your small business is going to succeed.

Relying on just one channel alone simply will not keep your online store afloat. So, before you launch your e-commerce store, be sure to familiarize yourself with as many different marketing channels as possible. One in particular is influencer marketing. When you master this, you can get others to spread the word about your product without any investment on your part (click here for more info!).

2. SEO Matters – Especially for Businesses

Building up traffic to your store is obviously one of the best ways to ensure your long-term success. However, doing so can be tough, especially since ranking on search engines like Google is harder than ever.

If you want your store to show up on the front page of search results, you need to do some research into search engine optimization (a.k.a. SEO). The better your site’s SEO, the higher it’s going to rank.

Content marketing is a great way to boost SEO. Start a blog. Write in-depth articles about your products. Include case studies, product reviews, and tutorials. Also, don’t forget to include an About Us page along with contact info. The more you can fill out your site with useful information, the better search engines like Google are going to rank your page.

3. Testimonials, Testimonials, Testimonials!

This one’s easy – include lots of testimonials! Testimonials are one of the most effective ways of convincing an audience to buy your product. Video testimonials are great, but text ones work just fine too. Either way, a review from a happy customer can go a long way towards bringing in more sales.

4. Nail Down Your Marketing Strategy

Even if you have the best product on the market, that doesn’t mean customers are going to be naturally drawn to your online store. Sadly, the Field of Dreams approach (“If you build it, they will come”) just doesn’t work in business.

And that means you have to do the work to bring them in. Time to beef up your marketing. A comprehensive marketing strategy is one of the biggest differentiators between a successful online business and a flop. It keeps your customer pipeline full, helps inspire trust in your audience, and primes your prospects for a sale. A solid marketing strategy, then, is one of the best tools you'll ever use during your e-commerce career. Investing in a program to help you fine-tune your strategy (like Shopifortunes) will usually end up being the best choice you’ve ever made for your business.

5. Truly Understand Your Audience (This One Is Key!)

A groundbreaking product is only going to bring in revenue if it’s targeted towards the right audience. Someone looking for a knife isn’t going to buy your spoon no matter how great that spoon is!

That’s why in order to succeed, you really need to do your research before attacking a market. What are these customers looking for? What are their hopes and dreams? What are they afraid of? And where are their needs not being met?

The more you truly understand your audience, the better you can sell your product to them.

As you can see, opening up your own online store and positioning it for long-term success can be incredibly difficult without the proper guidance. And if you’re trying to break into the e-commerce market, you owe it to yourself to start off on the right foot.

Shopifortunes, an elite e-commerce store launch program, is without a doubt one of the best systems available to help you not only get your store up and running in just a few minutes but also turn it into a revenue-generating machine.

And with the Syndicate secrets inside (which you can’t find anywhere else), you can turn a floundering Shopify store into a 6-figure internationally recognized brand in just a few weeks.

What exactly is online marketing?

Online marketing brings many benefits and opportunities. It can increase reach, conversion, brand awareness etc. at a much lower price than traditional marketing. It is therefore not surprising that many companies like to respond to this. But where do you start when you choose to use online marketing?

What exactly is online marketing?
First of all, it is important to understand the somewhat vague concept of 'online marketing'. What does it actually mean? What types of marketing are covered? How can this provide added value for my company?

Formulate a strategy
Deploying online marketing starts with drawing up a solid strategy. After all, online marketing is more than just having a website and therefore involves making marketing choices that will influence the interpretation of your company or product. Within the strategy you determine what your objectives are, who your target group is and which mediums you want to use to represent your company online. Examples of mediums are:

- Video
- Text
- Animation
- Photography

Online marketing takes many forms. Some examples of this are; SEO, Email marketing and social media marketing. When the above choices have been made, it remains only to determine the form(s) in which you want to represent your company on the internet. You can then use the strategy to get the best return from your marketing.

Types of online marketing
SEO, remarketing, AdWords, E-mail marketing, social media marketing ... It is just a small selection from the wide choice of types.
To see which species will be most suitable for your company, it is important to determine what your goal is, what you reach your target group with and what suits your company. In principle, any type of online marketing can contribute to an increase in visitors and / or conversions on your website, provided this marketing tool is used properly. An online marketing strategy can be a great help in this.
